Robotics Competition Weekend
Lego Robotics Teams in Competition

Your J.O. Kelly Knights wish the Lego Robotics the best of luck this weekend at the tournament in Hot Springs.  We have one team, the "Terminators", made entirely of J.O. Kelly students.  They are: Michael J., David M., Tony K., Matthew F., Ben V., and Cole V.  Robin Michelle Mcdonald is the coach of this team.

The second team competing this weekend is "RoboRampage".  They are a mix of Turnbow 3-5th graders and J.O. Kelly students.  The J.O. Kelly students on that team are David W., Garrett F., and John S.  Tracy Whelan is their coach.

To both of these team, Good Luck!  And to their sponsors, a BIG thank you!

Mrs. Andrea McKenna was named a National Milken Educator Friday in a surprise that was announced by Governor Mike Beebe.  Mrs. McKenna is the only teacher in the state named as a Milken Educator this year.  Springdale has six Milken Award winners, among them, Principal Sara Ford, who is a 1997 Milken Educator.  Congratulations, Mrs. McKenna, and congratulations to J.O. Attention parents of 6th grade students
Arkansas State Board of Health has changed rules and regulations for all students entering 7th grade in August 2011.  In addition to having the Varicella vaccination or history of disease, it is now mandatory that all students have additional immunizations for Tdap if your child has not received a Tdap immunization in the last five years.
"TIK-TOK - KMS Version"
Tik Tok - KMS Version
www.youtube.com
Set to Ke$ha's hit song "Tik Tok," this parody is the latest video from Trey Antonetti, band director at Kelly Middle School. This benchmark incentive was done to inspire kids at KMS to do the best they can and take their time on the upcoming standardized test.

This video also features several students and teachers from Kelly Middle School.
Thanks to all the incredible kiddos, amazing teachers, and outstanding principals who helped make this video great, and who help make every day at our school count. And to everyone watching for all the support of the KMS students, their teachers, and Mr. A.

GO KELLY KNIGHTS!
